Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Delhi

Established in 1984, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce affiliated to the University of Delhi got its name from Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the 10th Guru. It offers pass and honors courses in commerce as well as honors courses in Economics, Business Economics and Computer Science. You can also pursue courses in Business Journalism & Corporate Communication and International Marketing at this college.
Eligibility for admission to Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce:

• As per Delhi University Undergraduate Admission notification 2008, you need to have a minimum of 45% marks in total at your Class 12 exam or an equivalent one for applying for honors and pass courses in commerce or an honors course in economics.
• Your candidature for B.Com. (Pass) course will be preferred over others, if you have studied commerce and economics at your Class 12 exam. Similarly, you will be given preference for B.Com. (Hons.) program, if you have studied maths in addition at that level.
• For admission to an honors program in Computer Science, you need to study maths in your class 12 exam or an equivalent one.

• Your selection for an honors program in Computer Science is solely based on merit.
• You will have leverage over others for selection in an honors program in Economics, if you have studied economics and maths at your Class 12 exam.

• As per the Delhi University Undergraduate Admission notification 2008, the application forms will be available from 2nd June, 2008 while the last date for submitting the form is 16th June, 08.
• If you apply for several courses, you should apply on separate forms.
• If you are selected for an interview, your name will be put up on the notice board.
• The first admission list will be published by the college on 26th June.
• Admission for honors programs in both Economics and Business Economics is done through entrance tests.
• For admission to PG Diploma in Business Journalism and Corporate Communication as well as International Marketing in the academic session 2008-2009, you can take a test on 6th July, 2008. You can collect the application form from 4.6.08 and submit it by 5.7.08. The prospectus can be collected from the college by paying a cash of Rs 400 or sending a D.D (with Rs 50 extra if applied by post). The D.D should be drawn in favor of “Principal, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce” and payable at Punjab & Sind Bank, Delhi.
