| Admission Procedure/Eligibility Criteria |
Undergraduate
- International applicants who have completed their secondary school or high school in their respective countries can apply for an undergraduate program at MIT. However, applicants who have enrolled themselves at some other university in USA can apply to MIT as a transfer candidate. For seeking admission to MIT, candidates need to complete their application form properly and appear for some tests including SAT/ACT/TOEFL Shortlisted candidates are called for a face to face interview. International applicants who have studied mathematics, English (4 years compulsory), social studies/history (at least 2 years), physics, chemistry and biology will be given additional preference.
Graduate
- The admission procedure for the graduation programs differs from one department to the other. For instance, there are some departments that admit international applicants on the basis of their TOEFL/IELTS scores. Applicants who did not have English as their primary medium of instruction need to appear for the EET test to assess their English language skills.
