Pune University

Pune University is also known as "Oxford of the East". The University of Pune as state agency conducts SET or Maharashtra State Eligibility Test for Lectureship. The test is accredited by University Grants Commission. There are as many as 46 departments. It has 612 affiliated colleges and 307 research institutes that are recognized. As far as journals and books are concerned, the University has as many as 4, 22000 journals and books in the library of the University known as University of Pune Jayakar Library.
